Summary: Very friendly helpful staff. The grounds and casitas are nice and the views of the lake and volcano are really nice. Of course, the flies are incessant in the morning. They seem to fade away in the afternoon and evening. The hotel is a short drive to the start of Mt Batur hike and you can hire a guide at this hotel. Highly recommend the hike. I have the four stars only because of the flies which isn't the fault of the hotel but if the nearby businesses can come up with a solution, that would be great.
