Positive: Exceptional hospitality, guidance, and support from the family made my stay unforgettable. During our animal observations, we explored the jungle in ways no organized tour could offer, while working on a photography project aimed at raising awareness of local species—including the often-overlooked butterflies that play a vital role in maintaining the flora—and promoting sustainable tourism. Thanks to Yakup, I also gained a deep insight into rural life and agriculture beyond Bukit Lawang. The room and facilities are practical and well-equipped, providing everything needed for a safe and comfortable stay. At the same time, they offer a genuine sense of being close to nature. The mosquito net kept insects out, and the property is located near restaurants serving traditional Indonesian food. This place inspires something far deeper than journeys—a sense of responsibility for the forest, as it gives you so much in return.
